A lighting event will be held at the Kobe Customs Building (Chuo Ward, Kobe City), a popular filming location, to coincide with the 30th Kobe Luminarie. The event will run from January 24 to February 2, 2025, with the customs building open at night on weekends. Admission is free.
The Kobe Customs Office, a modern architectural landmark of Chuo Ward, Kobe, is also known as a filming location for movies and TV programs. Inside the building, there are displays of smuggling techniques, such as illicit drugs and guns, a game corner where visitors can try to identify genuine and counterfeit trademark infringing goods, and a corner where they can try metal detectors.
A lighting event planned to coincide with “Kobe Luminarie” (January 24-February 2) will be held at the facility from dusk until 9:00 p.m. daily.
For six days from January 24 to 26 and from January 31 to February 2, the government building will be partially open to the public. Visitors will be able to enjoy the view from the atmospheric courtyard in a different atmosphere than during the daytime.
<A word from the reporter:
I would like to enjoy the fantastic atmosphere together with Kobe Luminarie, which will be held under the theme of “30 years of light, hope shining forever”♪
