Commemorating the release of the disaster prevention picture book “Dobutsu Pose de Aso Bousai”! Bookstores in the city

In commemoration of the January 7 release of “Dobutsu Pose de Asobousai”, a picture book on disaster prevention for 2- and 3-year-olds, an exhibition of original drawings by picture book author Mayuko Kanazawa will be held at “Kikuuya Shoten Kobe Minami Store” and “Kodomo Hon no Mori Kobe”.

Ms. Kanazawa was born in Kobe. She experienced the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and the picture book for sale was born from her wish to incorporate “disaster prevention” into everyday play as well as before and after disaster drills.

This book, produced in collaboration with Ryoko Koga, a freelance announcer and a disaster prevention picture book specialist, allows children to enjoy learning disaster prevention poses through the poses of cute animals such as a rabbit, a cat, and a hedgehog. It is a book that both parents and children can learn together.

Kikuya Bookstore, located on the second floor of AEON MALL Kobe Minami, will hold an exhibition of 17 original drawings of the book from January 10 to 23. The “Children’s Book Forest Kobe” will hold an exhibition from January 25 to February 11, and a “Disaster Prevention Storytime & Workshop” will be held on February 2 in addition to the original exhibition.
