In China, the Chinese New Year is celebrated with great fanfare as “Chinese New Year,” with firecrackers going off, dragons and lions dancing, and the town is very lively. In Nankinmachi, the “Chinese New Year Festival” has been held since 1987 as an arrangement of the “Chinese New Year” to coincide with the Lunar New Year.
