Goshikizuka Kofun (Tarumi Ward, Kobe City) will be open on the day of the first sunrise. From 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (scheduled time of sunrise is 7:06 a.m.).

The sunrise can be viewed from a height of 18 meters above the ground. Please wear a mask on the day of the tour to protect yourself from corona infection.

The Goshikizuka burial mound is a posterior-rectangular mound built in the latter half of the 4th century. It is one of the largest in the prefecture, with a length of 194 m, a width of 82.4 m and a height of 13.0 m in the front section, and a diameter of 125.5 m and a height of 18.8 m in the rear section.
The slope of the three-tiered mound is covered with stones of various sizes, and the total number of stones used at the time of construction is said to be 2,230,000, weighing 2,784 tons.
The construction of the temple began in 1965, and was opened to the public after its completion in 1975. <The
nearest station is Kasumigaoka Station on the Sanyo Electric Railway Line. The nearest station is Kasumigaoka Station on the Sanyo Dentetsu Line, which is about a 5-minute walk away.
