Food and drink booths to return this year: “28th Nada Cherry Blossom Festival” at Tsuga River Park, Kobe

The 28th Nada Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on April 1 at Tsuga River Park (Nada Ward, Kobe), one of the best cherry blossom-lined parks in Kobe. Admission is free.

The event is a well-known spring event. This year, the food and beverage booths, which had been suspended due to measures to prevent new coronavirus infection, will be back, and the festival will also include games and bazaars for children and a stage performance at the ward residents’ hall, providing fun for children and adults alike.
The event will be held at two venues: Tsuga River Park and the adjacent Nada Kumin Hall.
The park will be crowded with food and beverage booths such as curry and takosen, game corners such as Struck Out and Bean Bowling, and traffic safety and various educational corners. As part of the milk carton recycling project, a flower seedling will be given away for every 20 milk cartons that have been cleaned and opened. Up to 10 pots per person.
Stage performances will be held in the same hall. About 10 groups, including a folk dance group and a Japanese drum performance, will appear on stage to enliven the event.

The annual Cherry Blossom Festival is making a long-awaited return this year as it used to be. As a resident of the area, I am happy to see the daily life finally returned.
