From March 1, a special exhibition, “Stamps of 2022,” is being held at the Museum of Philatelic Culture in Kita-ku, Kobe, until April 24.
去年発行された切手を展示 Stamps issued last year are on display.
The museum has on permanent display approximately 2,000 regular and commemorative stamps issued in Japan over the past 140 years since 1871 in chronological order and by system. In addition, many items used in postal work and other valuable materials are also on display.
後から見返すと懐かしく感じるものも! Some of these items will feel nostalgic when you look back on them later!
This year’s annual special exhibition will again feature approximately 100 commemorative, special, and hometown stamps issued in 2022.
In 2022, there will be commemorative stamps issued for the 50th anniversary of the reversion of Okinawa to Japan, the 150th anniversary of the railroad, and the 10th anniversary of the birth of the official character “Posukuma” of Japan Post. The Hyogo Prefecture’s unique frame postage stamps are also a highlight of the exhibition.
<I was impressed by the depth of the history and culture reflected in each of the various patterns on the cute stamps.
