Kwansei Gakuin University to Create a New Base for Diverse People to Co-Create Beyond Boundaries

Kwansei Gakuin University (Nishinomiya City), a general university with 14 faculties, will open the “KSC Co-Creation Village (C-Village)” complex in April 2025 in the vicinity of the Kobe Sanda Campus (KSC) (Sanda City).

The complex will be located in the Culture Town District Center, South Block. Designed to harmonize with the surrounding townscape, including Washington Village and Hyogo Village, it will feature a 1,800m2 front park with greenery throughout the four seasons, as well as a promenade around the park, creating a new place of interaction and relaxation for local residents to casually visit.

The facility will consist of the “S-Base (Startup Base),” an incubation facility that supports people who aspire to start their own businesses through collaboration between industry, academia, government, and the private sector, the “G-Dome (Genesis Dorm),” KSC’s first student dormitory with 300 students, and the “FIT365” fitness gym that can also be used by residents. FIT365, a fitness gymnasium that can also be used by residents.

S-Base” includes a “free area” with workshop rooms and a café, a “members (free) area” with meeting rooms and a VR studio that can be used for entrepreneurial activities, and a “members (free) area” for paid members. The “Free Area” includes workshop rooms and a café.

“Co-Creation” means “co-creation. The facility was named with the aim of becoming a base where a diverse range of people, from local residents to people active in the world, can gather and co-create beyond their own boundaries.
