Kobe City: Only 6 months to go until the opening of Osaka-Kansai Expo! ~ Special Light

October 13 (Sunday) is six months before the opening of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
In preparation for the opening of the Expo, the business community and local governments are working together to build momentum in order to revitalize the entire Kansai region.
Kobe City is also taking the opportunity of the six months prior to the opening of the Expo to build momentum in the city through special lighting displays at various locations in the city and the display of a countdown board created in cooperation with the Kobe Design University.
If you happen to be in the neighborhood, please take a look and feel closer to the opening of the Expo, which is only six months away.

Special lighting of the Expo at various locations in the city

The following special lighting displays will be held at various locations in the city, using the three main colors of the Expo: red, blue, and white.

Display of countdown boards

Two types of countdown boards designed and produced by Kobe Design University students will be installed at facilities in the city.
The boards will continue to be displayed after the opening of the Expo to help build momentum during the event.

Title: Minna no Yell
Concept: The image of many voices supporting the Expo spreading to the world through megaphones.
Location ：Arrival lobby on the 1st floor of Kobe Airport
Installation period ：October 13, 2024 (Sun.) ～ October 13, 2025 (Mon., holiday)

Title ：Dancing Life
Concept ： The rotating round plate and the various movements of the sphere create an image of “life”, the theme of the Expo, in motion.
Location: In front of the east ticket gate of Sannomiya Station, Kobe Municipal Subway
Installation period: Thursday, October 31, 2024 – Monday, October 13, 2025 (national holiday)
