The
Kobe Citizens’ Art Exhibition has been held since 1974 for the purpose of providing opportunities and venues for the presentation of daily art activities and for the further promotion of civic culture.
The exhibition has become established as the “Spring City Exhibition,” and every year we receive many entries from people of all ages.
This year, since the traveling exhibition of the 9th Nitten will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Kobe and the Kobe Fashion Museum (Nitten Kobe), the venue of the City Exhibition has been moved from Harada no Mori Gallery to Rokko Island, and the exhibition will be held in conjunction with the Nitten Kobe, so that visitors to the City Exhibition will be able to view the Nitten at a nearby venue. The exhibition will be moved from Harada no Mori Gallery to Rokko Island to coincide with the Nitten and Kobe exhibitions.
The exhibition may be changed or cancelled depending on the situation of the new type of coronavirus infection.

(Reference) Outline of the 9th Nitten Kobe Exhibition
Nitten, Japan’s largest public exhibition, celebrated its 115th anniversary this year since the first Bunten exhibition in 1907. Once again, the 9th Nitten (5 sections: Japanese-style painting, Western-style painting, sculpture, crafts art, and calligraphy) will be held in November at the National Art Center, Tokyo, and will then travel to Kyoto, Nagoya, Kobe, and Toyama. This will be the first time in 54 years that the traveling exhibition will be held in Kobe, and in addition to the basic works from the Tokyo exhibition, works by artists from Hyogo, Osaka, Nara, and Wakayama will be exhibited.
