Suma Rikyu Park, which was built on the site of the former imperial villa “Muko Rikyu”, is a popular place to relax and enjoy seasonal flowers such as roses, Japanese honeysuckles, and Japanese apricots, as well as autumn leaves. The park is popular as a place for relaxation and recreation.
During the “Maple Viewing Party,” the park will be open at night on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays to illuminate the autumn leaves and the fountain. You will be immersed in a fantastic atmosphere different from that of the daytime. Enjoy an autumn stroll in the Japanese garden, along the maple paths, and at other autumn foliage spots throughout the park. In the Japanese garden, you can enjoy the atmospheric scenery with Japanese-style rooms and lanterns. *Japanese-style rooms are available for a fee (advance reservation required).
During the period, Momijikari and Matcha (powdered green tea) (19th and 20th), Momiji Tea Ceremony (23rd), and Momiji Candle Night (26th) are scheduled to be held.
*Events may be canceled or changed, stores and facilities may be closed, and business hours may be changed to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection. <A word from the reporter> The
150-meter-long maple avenue is lined with maple trees and is said to be like a tunnel dyed in brocade.
It is a great place to spend a relaxing autumn day while admiring the most beautiful garden at this time of the year.
