War and Peace Part II
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of his birth in 2020, Sergei Bondarchuk, a Soviet film director known for “War and Peace,” will be screened in a special program.

War and Peace” (Parts I-IV), a war epic drama based on Tolstoy’s novel of the same name, as well as “Father Sergiy,” “For the Fatherland,” “The Fate of Man,” and “Waterloo” will be shown, eight films in all, two per day. <
War and Peace” is Tolstoy’s long novel published in six volumes between 1868 and 1869, and is a historical epic that depicts Russian society in the decade before and after Napoleon’s invasion of Russia in 1812 on a grand scale, both in terms of war and peace.
