Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition), the largest comprehensive art exhibition in Japan, will be held in Kobe for the first time in 54 years. Rokko Island Art Fair 2023, an event to familiarize yourself with art, will open on February 18 and run through March 26.
The Nitten (Japan Fine Arts Exhibition) is the largest comprehensive art exhibition in Japan, consisting of five sections: Japanese-style painting, Western-style painting, sculpture, crafts and fine arts, and calligraphy.
The fair was planned to take advantage of the exhibition, which will be held at the Kobe Museum of Art and the Kobe Fashion Museum on Rokko Island, to promote a wider appreciation of art.
During the fair, visitors will be able to take photos of street corner sculptures scattered throughout Rokko Island and submit them to the “Machinaka Sculpture Photo Rally,” as well as attend explanatory tours and art guided tours by artists who have exhibited their works at the Nitten and Kobe exhibitions.
From March 4 to 12, “Rokko Island Art Exhibition,” an exhibition of paintings, calligraphy, photographs, and sculptures created by residents and community groups on Rokko Island, will be held for the first time at Atrium Plaza on the first floor of Kobe Fashion Mart. <
Nitten, one of Japan’s premier art exhibitions, is now in Kobe. We hope you will take this memorable opportunity to become familiar with art.
