Orient!”, a cram school for 5th grade elementary school students to 3rd grade junior high school students, opened in Nagata-ku, Kobe on February 28, 2012. The “learning method” adopted by the cram school is “new.
Kobe Kosoku Line “Kosoku Nagata” station 9 min. walk
JR Kobe Line “Shin Nagata” station 11 min. walk
The space used as a cram school is an abandoned house that has been remodeled, and four programs are offered to deepen learning. For example, the program uses more than 100 board games, including a game called “Word Basket,” in which students compete in a speed contest for the fastest Shiritori (Japanese word game). 90-minute lessons include explanation of the rules, practice, and review, helping students develop concentration, calculation skills, and memory skills while having fun.
A variety of games are available at the school.
Other programs include group work on various real-world themes such as marketing and the SDGs to enhance the ability to come up with ideas, which can be taken online.
Currently, as a commemorative campaign for the opening, they are running a one-month free trial for all four programs. Please check the website for more details, including prices. <
The school also offers a program that supports daily home study using ICT materials for learning five subjects. I am sure that children will be motivated to study if they have an environment where they can learn in a fun way with new ideas! When I was a child, there was no such cram school
