This year marks exactly 150 years since the former Nishikuni Kaido was named “Motomachi Dori” by the then prefectural governor on May 20, 1874. To commemorate this event, the local Kobe Motomachi Shopping Arcade will hold a Thanksgiving Festival for about a week from May 21 to 26.
The Kobe Motomachi Shopping Arcade has formed an executive committee to organize a number of events to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Motomachi Dori, creating a lively post-Corona Kobe.
At the Thanksgiving Festival starting May 21, each store will offer original services such as discounts and juice giveaways. The services will be introduced at each storefront with a sign that resembles a bus stop. On the evening of May 26, the last day of the Thanksgiving Day, “Motozukin-chan,” the mascot character of Kobe Motomachi Shopping Arcade, will make an appearance on 1st Avenue to liven up the event.
< Comment from the person in charge>
This Motomachi Thanksgiving Festival is not a uniform event in the shopping arcade, but an event where each store expresses its gratitude with its own ideas, so if you have time, please explore the shopping arcade from one end to the other. We look forward to your continued support of the Kobe Motomachi Shopping Arcade.

The services offered differ from store to store! I would like to take this opportunity to slowly enjoy “Motobura”♪
