Jazz music echoes through the streets of Kobe! KOBE JAZZ DAY 2025″ in Sannomiya, Old

On April 6, “KOBE JAZZ DAY 2025,” a commemorative event for “Kobe Jazz Day,” will be held in front of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s Kobe Sales Department (Chuo-ku, Kobe) in the Old Settlement area of Sannomiya. Admission is free.

Since it is said that the first professional band performance in Japan took place in Kobe in April 1923, and since jazz is known for its four beats, April 4 has been registered as “Kobe Jazz Day 4/4 (April Fourth)” as one of the activities of the “Jazz City Kobe” Promotion Council. April 4th is registered as “Kobe Jazz Day 4/4 (April 4th)”.

KOBE JAZZ DAY” organized by the “Jazz Town Kobe” Promotion Council is a memorable concert that marks the start of the year. Professional musicians and energetic student bands will perform throughout the city.

KOBE YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA

On the day of the event, you can enjoy the youthful performance of “KOBE YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA,” which was formed to promote Kobe as a jazz town and to nurture young players, the five-member funk group “Omochizu,” the “Blue Moon Trio,” which will perform classic songs from the past, present, and future as well as original compositions, and “KOBE YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA,” which will perform at live houses in Sannomiya. Miki Hirose V-JUG,” a group of elite musicians who met at a live house in Sannomiya, and many others.

Starting with “KOBE JAZZ DAY 2025,” a variety of jazz events are scheduled to be held one after another throughout Kobe this year.
