Enjoy an Autumn Day with Your Family at a Nature-Filled Grass Square “Enjoy Awajishima Park

The “Enjoy Awaji Island Park Festival” will be held at Hyogo Prefectural Awajishima Park in Kusumoto, Awaji City, on October 19. Admission is free.

The park, spread out on the hills in the northern part of Awaji Island, is a nature park boasting a vast site area of 134.8 hectares. The event, planned under the concept of “Let’s enjoy a day in autumn with the whole family in the green nature,” will be held at the “big lawn square” near the parking lot F. The event will be held at the “Awajishima Local Market” in the park.

The “Awaji Island Local Marché” will be held at the venue. In addition to sales of rice, vegetables, flower seedlings, etc., businesses and stores on the island will open stalls, and the Sumoto Civil Engineering Office of the Awaji Prefectural Bureau will hold a “seed dango making class” and distribute flower seedlings (first 100 visitors). Farmers’ vehicles, which are unique to Awaji Island, will also be on display and available for test rides.

At the “Craft Experience,” visitors can make craft goods using bamboo, herbs, nuts, and other materials (100 to 300 yen). A yo-yo and super ball scooping corner is also available (100 yen per scoop).

Emergency vehicles can be seen up close

In addition, emergency vehicles from the police, fire department, and Self-Defense Forces will be on display, and disaster prevention goods will be distributed to visitors who fill out a park questionnaire (first 100 visitors).

Admission to the park is free. In case of rain on the day of the event, the event will be cancelled.

The “Big Lawn Plaza” boasts an area of approximately 50,000 square meters. From the field of green as far as the eye can see, one can see an endless sky. The park is directly connected to Awaji Highway Oasis, which is connected by a connecting road from the Awaji Service Area (up and down) on the Kobe-Awaji Naruto Expressway, making it easy to access from outside the island.
