The promoters of the event are KAZZ of “Bloom Works,” a music unit for disaster prevention in Kobe, and AOI (Aoi Nakamura), a TV personality and singer, who formed the unit “Pink Seeds. The unit is developing the “Pink Seed Project,” which is based on the concept of “conveying disaster prevention through music in a fun way.

During the year-long activities, we realized that there is a big gap in disaster awareness between the generation that experienced the earthquake and the generation that did not,” said KAZZ. We planned the Disaster Prevention Music Festival in the hope of bridging and uniting the gap in disaster prevention awareness between generations through music. The event is positioned as the culmination of the project, and in line with the unit’s concept, it will be held as “a project to raise awareness of disasters that may occur in the future, while having fun at the same time.

In addition to the unit, the event will feature Peco, an active nurse and singer/songwriter, and Yuutin, a dancer and dance instructor. The emcee will be Katsuhisa Maeda, a freelance announcer and weather forecaster.

On the day of the event, students from the Department of Visual Design at Kobe Design University will also give a presentation on the theme of “Learning from Past Disasters.

One of the students in charge of planning the event said, “I was allowed to participate in the ‘Pink Seed Project’ as part of my seminar on planning and advertising. We thought of an event to convey disaster prevention to young people from the students’ point of view, and we will present ‘Yarakashi Bosai’ from among several proposals we made. Our goal is to learn what kind of disaster prevention measures our predecessors have implemented and failed to implement, and to learn lessons from them,” said KAZZ.

KAZZ said, “For the past year, AOI and I have been having fun communicating disaster prevention through YouTube videos. I am deeply moved by the fact that her desire to become a disaster prevention artist has spilled over into the festival, and now we are reaching the culmination of our efforts.

I have never experienced a major disaster, but through this event, as well as my project activities, I would like to raise awareness about disaster prevention more than ever and prepare for future disasters,” said AOI enthusiastically.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m., show starts at 3:00 p.m. (ends at 5:00 p.m.). The capacity of the venue is 100 people. Tickets are ¥500 in advance (¥700 if archived broadcast is included), ¥600 at the door (¥800), ¥400 for archived broadcast, and free for elementary school students and younger.
