The “Koji Quilt Shirt Made with Mr. Hakutsuru,” the first collaboration between Hakutsuru Sake Brewery and Sunny Clouds, a fashion brand by mail order company Felissimo, headquartered in Kobe, is on display at the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum (Higashinada-ku, Kobe) from December 17. The exhibition is being held at the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum (Higashinada-ku, Kobe).
This collaborative product was inspired by the cloth used to make koji for daiginjo sake by hand. The cloth is said to be indispensable for temperature control, which is important for growing high-quality koji, and its firm thickness and tightly woven, raised, and naturally textured fabric make it a perfect winter item.
It is named “Koji Quilt Shirt” because it is worn over the koji lid like a quilt. This product is available at Felissimo’s online store.
In addition to displaying the collaborative products, the museum also exhibits the cloth used in the koji room, with the aim of broadening interest and understanding during the tour.
Visitors to the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum wearing this collaboration shirt will receive a free tasting of “Chotosen Hakutsuru Tenku Fukuro Hanging Junmai Daiginjo” (with a Hakutsuru logo on the sake cup). <The
shirt made from the cloth used in sake brewing looks fluffy and warm. The cloth actually used is also on display, so you’re sure to want one when you see it…
