The 31st Rokko City Marathon will be held on January 29 next year, with the course covering the island of Rokko Island.
The marathon, which will be held for the first time in three years due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection, will consist of a 1.5 km race for elementary school students and their parents and children, a 3 km race for junior high school students and older, a 5 km race for high school students and older, and a 5 km race for high school students and older. The marathon is open to families, with a 1.5 km race for elementary school students and their parents and children, a 3 km race for junior high school students and older, and a 5 km and 10 km race for high school students and older.
The 10 km course in particular is officially recognized by the JAAF, and the top finishers will have the opportunity to participate in the Kobe Marathon under the “KOBE MARATHON HYOGO MAJORS” program. The energetic and charming former track and field athlete Yuriko Kobayashi will serve as the event ambassador, and INAC Kobe, which has Rokko Island as its training base, will provide special cooperation to liven up the event.
The event is currently recruiting participants, and entries will be accepted until November 6.
