The “Valentine Chocolate Expo” will be held at the 9th floor event hall in the main building of Kobe Hankyu (Chuo-ku, Kobe City) from January 24 to February 14. Seventy-eight brands from Japan and abroad will gather. Of these, 14 brands will be exhibiting for the first time.
The theme for Valentine’s Day 2024 is “Best Combination Ever! Chocolates made with a variety of combinations of ingredients, ways of making, tastes, appearance, and the maker’s thoughts will be gathered.
A special box of products made with ingredients from the five countries of Hyogo will be available exclusively at Kobe Hankyu from Nakamura Chocolate, which has its main store in Higashinada-ku, Tokyo.
Sils Maria, the birthplace of fresh chocolate, will offer a combination of Japanese sake brewed in Hyogo, the birthplace of sake, and smooth, smooth, live chocolate.

The brands making their first appearance include QUON CHOCOLATE, whose popular terrine is a marriage of cacao from around the world and regional ingredients that were discovered through a renewed search in Japan, Cafe Auzan’s “adult cute” Valentine’s Day limited edition rusks, and Ken’s Café Tokyo’s “KEN’S CHOCOLATE. The store will also feature gâteau chocolates made with the world’s finest cacao from Ken’s Cafe Tokyo.
There will also be a lineup of a variety of other products, such as chocolates from long-established shops with royal warrants and chocolates with Japanese flavors.
There will also be an eat-in space where visitors can enjoy chocolate soft serve from “Nakamura Chocolate” and “ICHIJI” and powdered green tea drinks from “Chanoki by Fukujuen.
In addition to the “Valentine’s Day Chocolate Expo,” the patio stage 2 on the 2nd floor of the main building will sell not only chocolates, but also healthy sweets, coffee, tea, and other items made with the finest ingredients, while the western confectionery section on the basement floor of the main building will sell “Citrus and Chocolate Sour Sweets.
