Awajiya, a bento box lunch box company headquartered in Higashinada-ku, Kobe, will sell “Hyogo Prefectural Police Version Hittari Dako Meshi” for a limited time from April 6 to 15. The sale will end as soon as it is sold out due to limited quantities.
The “Hyogo Prefectural Police Version Hippippippippadako Meshi” was planned in collaboration with the Hyogo Prefectural Police to further promote awareness of the National Traffic Safety Campaign, which is held twice a year in the spring and fall. This is the sixth time the product has been released, and each time it is a popular item that sells out immediately after its release.
As in previous years, the ceramic plates are specially designed in black and white to resemble a Hyogo Prefectural Police patrol car. The hanging paper features an illustration of an octopus promoting “pedestrian crossing,” “wearing bicycle helmets,” and “preventing special fraud,” and “this time, we recommend the design with lots of octopuses at the pedestrian crossing! I recommend the design full of octopuses at the pedestrian crossing this time!
The contents follow the long-loved “Hittaridako Meshi” (rice with octopus), and you can enjoy the usual deliciousness. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Kobe Traffic Orphans Mimamoro-kai, Hyogo Victim Support Center, and Hyogo Prefectural Federation of Crime Prevention Associations.
