Cologne, a long-established bakery in Kobe founded in 1946, has begun selling soft-serve ice cream again this year. The bakery has eight stores in the Kobe area, but the soft-serve ice cream is sold exclusively at the Mikage store, which has an eat-in space.
The soft serve ice cream was first launched in 2018. Cologne’s representative, Mr. Tsuboi, together with a dairy manufacturer, visited a dairy farm in Kushiro, Hokkaido, to directly select dairy cows, and used their raw milk to create this original Cologne product through a process of trial and error.
The product is sold every year from around GW to the end of summer, depending on how the temperature rises. This year’s sales started on May 3.
The deep flavor of raw milk can be enjoyed to the fullest, and the aftertaste is refreshing, so that even a generous amount of cream can be enjoyed all the way through. In order to maximize the rich milk flavor, a simple cone is used, and of course, it can also be enjoyed in a cup.
They are also recommended to be eaten together with rusks, cookies, and other crispy textures.
Priced at 356 yen per serving (tax included). Please note that soft serve ice cream is available from 10:00 to 17:00.

I didn’t know Cologne had soft-serve ice cream! I would definitely like to go there to taste the rich milk flavor.
