Patisserie & Dessert Frais Senteur” (Higashinada-ku, Kobe) will open on August 8 in the Settsu Motoyama residential area. Ahead of the opening, a pre-opening period for the general public will begin on July 31.
The confectionery will be created by Yu Yamaguchi, who has worked as a chef patissier at hotels in Tokyo and Osaka for many years. He is a talented chef who has won several competitions.
He has realized his dream of opening a store that “offers high quality products, blends in with the local community, and is a comfortable place where conversation with customers is important.
During the pre-opening period, the shop started by offering baked goods. About 20 varieties are on offer, including pound cake with homemade fruit compote, vanilla-flavored madeleines, and pistachio cake, which can be enjoyed as take-out or eat-in with coffee or tea.
The eat-in counter seats seven.
The name of the store is French for “freshly made aroma. As the name suggests, after the grand opening, the restaurant plans to offer “Hachette Desserts,” including dessert platters, parfaits, and shaved ice, which will be prepared in front of your eyes.
