On August 3, Kobe Shu-shin-kan (Higashinada-ku, Kobe), known for its sake “Fukuju,” will hold the workshop event “SDGs Summer Holiday Free Research Help Workshop 2024” for parents and children. Advance registration is required and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 20. Participation is free of charge.
The theme of the event is “rice” and “water,” which are the raw materials for sake, and brings together people who support rice farming and environmentally friendly initiatives to think about the SDGs together with elementary school students, who will be responsible for the future.
There are two programs: the “Kanna Workshop,” where participants learn about fermentation and harvest corn, and the “Loofah Project (Reeve 21) + NISSAN Wakuwaku Eco School,” where participants learn to protect the richness of the sea and experiment with electric vehicle model cars.
Both courses are designed for 4th grade elementary school students and above, and each course is scheduled to last approximately two hours.
